Session XXXIII: Just Deserts

Hello again! We just got out of possibly one of the best sessions yet, chock full of combat, 1980's anime femme fatale cameos, mystery, suspense, romance, and it all ends on a cliffhanger... And to top it all off, Hal Brunchkiller... HAL FRICKIN' BRUNCHKILLER came away looking badass ... all on his own!

Let's get into the opening crawl.

AI images will only let you get so far before you start to infringe on copyrights. Pretend L1 and Golden Wheels are there.. um... lying down where you cannot see them. Also there's too many dudes. The characters present should be: Vero, Hal, Golden Wheels, Lo'Sar Tan, L1, Soan Voan and D'Wook. Everyone else who was not present were chilling on the Silverlight.

Session 33: Just Deserts

Aboard the desert skiff that they “borrowed” from the late Jabba the Hutt, Delta Team rides into the Dune Sea, the next step in their search for the legendary Republic tactician Adar Tallon.

According to Labria, a Devaronian drunk who seems to know people, or at least people who know people,  Slag Flats, an Ithorian “oldster,” might have information to aid their search.

Tallon is the key, not only to turning the tide of the Galactic Civil War, but also as bait to lure out Jodo Kast, a small-time bounty hunter posing as a Mandalorian, whom Soan Voan and Lo’Sar Tan have unfinished business with. This is the way!

Session XXXII: Return of the (Other) Jedi

Welcome back one and all to another session as we edge closer and closer to bringing this epic story to a satisfying conclusion. We are currently overlapping with Episode VI, and I estimate that we will likely finish up around Session XXXVI, meaning that there are roughly 12 sessions per movie. That's a nice round number.

Anyway let's just get right to it. Here's the opening crawl:

Session XXXII: Return of the (Other) Jedi

Luke Skywalker has just returned to his home planet and executed a really poorly thought out plan to rescue his friend Han Solo from the clutches of the vile gangster Jabba the Hutt.

For his troubles, he now finds himself, along with a Gamorrean guard, in an underground chamber that is home to a very hungry rancor monster.

All in attendance, including an undercover Delta Team, watch with a mix of alarm, horror, and morbid curiosity.

You can't tell me he knew what he was doing here...

Session XXXI Daughters of Suns

Welcome back, excelsior and all that. You may have suspected from the last session that after jumping forward a year and introducing the Bothan spies with Death Star II plans, that we are coming around the final stretch on our OT campaign and we will start overlapping with Return of the Jedi soon.

Well, your suspicions would be correct.

But as I mentioned previously, I want to run one  more module, the one that's been described as WEG's "best." And that is Tatooine Manhunt

You'll recall that our heroes left Tatooine way back in session III. I did promise to return there but didn't know when I'd bring them back for Tatooine Manhunt. Well, the way things played out, the time is now.

Ironically, this is yet another module that is out of sequence. Tatooine Manhunt was the first module created, and it is set shortly after the events of Episode IV, but it will be the last module we play and I'm setting it during the events of Episode VI.

Anyway, let's get to that opening crawl.

I keep telling you. It's NOT the Falcon. It's the Silverlight!

Opening Crawl:

Session 31 - Daughters of the Suns

One year after the Silverlight and its crew went missing, the ragtag group of Rebel commandos race to return to the fleet with information that could turn the tide of the Galactic Civil War.

Meanwhile, the Twi’lek shopkeeper-turned-assassin Soan Voan is quite eager to return to the desert planet of Tatooine to reunite with her sister, Oola, whom she used as collateral to borrow business startup funds.

It’s been five years since she left the sandy outer rim planet behind to make her fortune...
